The Eggersmann BACKHUS α 55 is a fully electric, automated windrow turner. It handles windrows up to 5.5 metres wide and achieves a turning capacity of up to 4,500 m³ per hour.

The α 55 automatically detects windrows, carries out the turning process independently and can move to the next windrow on its own. Sensors continuously measure the volume of the material.

High-voltage technology enables short charging times. The machine produces no emissions during operation, making it suitable for use inside enclosed buildings. Battery capacity can be tailored to the application and required operating time.
