    2. Gray water and rain water systems

Gray water and rain water systems

Rainwater Harvesting and Reuse: Sustainable and Future-Proof Since 1995, Afvalwatertechniek NB Milieu has been taking innovative steps in the management and reuse of water streams. As water becomes increasingly scarce and valuable, we view rainwater not as a problem, but as a valuable resource. With our rainwater harvesting and reuse systems, we make it possible for companies to use water in a circular and sustainable way. Our solutions efficiently capture rainwater, store it safely, and treat it so that it can be reused directly in processes such as cleaning, rinsing, or cooling. By intelligently combining rainwater with the reuse of lightly polluted wastewater, companies can significantly reduce freshwater consumption while easing the burden on sewer systems and the environment. The strength of our systems lies in flexibility and sustainability. Our installations are modular and future-proof: easy to expand or adapt as operations change or environmental regulations become stricter. By removing physical contaminants first and applying chemical treatment only when strictly necessary, we minimize sludge production and reduce environmental impact. With over 30 years of experience, Afvalwatertechniek NB Milieu delivers solutions that provide immediate results and remain relevant in the future. Our rainwater and reuse systems demonstrate that water management can be both practical and cost-effective, while making a significant contribution to a circular and sustainable future. Afvalwatertechniek NB Milieu shows that smart engineering and environmental responsibility go hand in hand—for businesses and for the planet.

    3. Greyparrot Analyzer

      Greyparrot Analyzer

Process control in ever-changing conditions is more than necessary for MRFs to guarantee consistent output quality and survive the quest for the resources of tomorrow. Therefore, data play a critical role in facilitating the process and eventually creating the MRF of the future. Bollegraaf Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Greyparrot, a pioneer in AI waste analytics, to significantly boost recycling rates and quantify material emissions. The collaboration will bring forth revolutionary smart recycling plants that are fully automated and agile, unlocking new value in waste streams. Greyparrot Analyzer, easily integrated into recycling installations designed by the Bollegraaf Group, is an AI waste analytics system that tracks and reports on objects passing through recovery facilities. Using Greyparrot’s live insights, recycling operators can act fast to optimize their process and increase their recovery.

    4. Habasit ENB-15EHBT specific for the recycling industry

Habasit ENB-15EHBT specific for the recycling industry

Reliable optical waste sorting under harsh conditions: In this application, the waste is spread on a running belt and then optically sorted using NIR (Near InfraRed) technology. The customer used a rubber belt in the past and faced difficulties with dirt accumulation on the belt which reduced the sorting efficiency and led to frequent downtimes. To improve the application efficiency, a robust belt with excellent resistance to cutting and other mechanical damages was needed. Since the sorting happens at high speed (2–4 m/s), miss-tracking issues needed to be avoided. The application requires on-site joining. The solution was ENB-15EHBT, a thick (> 4 mm) TPU belt that has excellent resistance to cutting and mechanical damages. Its TPU compounds in matt finish delay the dirt build-up and prevent light reflections, which is an absolute requirement in optical sorters. The Thermofix joining is the ideal method for such applications since it needs to withstand rough conditions under a long lifetime of two to five years. Even though the initial costs for this solution were higher, when considering the increased belt lifetime of two to five years, the OEM was able to reduce the total costs of ownership over the entire period. The OEM's cost reductions could be achieved through on-site joinings, fewer breakdowns, improved sorting efficiency, and lower energy consumption.
