Brigade’s AI Box offers a practical way to expand compatible existing vehicle camera systems with AI-driven Human Form Recognition (HFR) without replacing already installed cameras, monitors, or vehicle wiring. Many fleets already use camera systems to improve visibility around vehicles. The AI ​​Box builds upon that existing investment by adding intelligent person detection between compatible analog cameras and the monitor. The AI ​​Box is integrated into the existing camera system and subsequently analyzes the video footage. Using artificial intelligence, the system recognizes people within configurable detection zones. As soon as a person is detected, visual and audible alerts can draw the driver's attention to that person. This transforms an existing camera system from a purely visual aid into a more active driver assistance system. The driver continues to use the existing camera view and monitor, while Human Form Recognition provides an additional alert when a person is located in the monitored area. The AI ​​Box supports up to two compatible analog cameras and is compatible with AHD, CVBS, NTSC, and PAL formats. This allows AI functionality to be added without necessarily rebuilding the entire camera installation. For fleets where multiple vehicles are already equipped with suitable camera systems, this retrofit solution can be particularly interesting. Retaining existing cameras, monitors, and cabling helps limit installation work, vehicle downtime, and replacement costs. The AI ​​Box is therefore a practical step from camera vision to intelligent detection: retain existing hardware and add AI person recognition.
